Introduction to the surface treatment of sheet metal processing parts
Several common surface treatment methods for sheet metal processing are: wire drawing, sandblasting, painting, powder spraying, electroplating, anodizing, and silk screen printing. Since the surface of some sheet metal materials does not have the ability to prevent rust and corrosion, effective surface treatment is very necessary.
Surface treatment of sheet metal parts can improve the service life of a product in harsh environments, or to achieve a specific surface effect or function.
1. Wire drawing
The so-called sheet metal drawing is to put the material between the upper and lower silk wheels of the wire drawing machine, the silk wheel is attached to the abrasive belt, driven by the motor, so that the material through the upper and lower abrasive belts, on the surface of the material to pull out traces, according to the different abrasive belts, the thickness of the traces is not the same, the main function is to beautify the appearance.
In addition, wire drawing is also called rubbing lines! Common materials for this surface treatment process: generally aluminum and stainless steel plates are considered for brushed surface treatment.
2. Sandblasting
Through the wind of the sandblasting machine, the sand particles are hit on the surface of the workpiece, forming a dense pit on the surface of the workpiece, the main function is to remove the dirt and rust on the surface of the workpiece, increase the adhesion of the workpiece surface, and prepare for the subsequent surface treatment.
Common materials for this surface treatment process: cold-rolled plate, hot-rolled plate, aluminum, etc.
3. Spray paint
Generally refers to liquid spraying, his process has two types: liquid baking paint and self-drying spray painting, self-drying is spraying can be naturally cured at room temperature, the cost is low, but the effect is incomparable with baking paint.
The color effect of the spray paint will be better, the thickness of the paint film is relatively thin, suitable for some precision products, and the cost is higher. Common materials for this surface treatment process: cold-rolled plate, hot-rolled plate, etc.
4. Spraying (also called powder spraying)
It means that the powder is polarized and uniformly attached to the surface of the product with opposite polarity under the action of electric field force.
Spray characteristics: wear-resistant, corrosion resistance is better, the film is relatively thick, suitable for cabinets, equipment and coarser products, the cost is low, plastic powder can also be recycled. Common materials for this surface treatment process: cold-rolled plate, hot-rolled plate, etc.
Electrostatic powder spraying is mainly polarized by electrodes (powder), and then the object to be sprayed carries the opposite charge, and the powder is uniformly attached to the surface of the object under the action of electric field force.
5. Plating
Through chemical reaction, a layer of other metals is attached to the surface of the material, which is used to increase the anti-corrosion performance of the metal, and can achieve a certain beautifying appearance, which is a commonly used surface treatment method. Such as: electro-galvanizing, electroplating nickel, etc. Mainly plated with multicolored zinc, blue and white zinc, black zinc, chrome plating.
Common materials for this surface treatment process: cold-rolled plate, hot-rolled plate, etc.
