What should be paid attention to when protecting and repairing injection molds?
1. Mold maintenance
(1) When disassembling the mold, avoid bumps and water, and move smoothly;
(2) Spray the hot mold, and then spray a small amount of release agent;
(3) Carry out a comprehensive inspection of the mold and carry out anti-rust treatment. Carefully wipe off the moisture and debris in the cavity, core, ejector mechanism and row position, and spray mold anti-rust agent and apply butter.
2. Mold maintenance
During the continuous operation of the mold, it is easy to cause problems such as wear of parts, deterioration of lubricants, water leakage, and crushing of plastic materials during the movement process, so mold maintenance is required.
Mold maintenance is generally divided into daily maintenance and lower mold maintenance.
(1) The daily maintenance of the mold generally includes the following aspects:
①Regular rust removal (appearance, PL surface, cavity, core, etc.);
②Regularly add lubricant (ejector mechanism, row position, etc.);
③ Regularly replace the wear parts (tie rods, bolts, etc.).
(2) For the maintenance of the lower mold of the mold, professional maintenance personnel need to carry out professional testing and protection on the mold cavity and ejector pins of the mold after removing the mold.
3. Mold protection
Because the mold has the characteristics of specificity, precision, vulnerability, etc., the safety protection of the mold is very important. The overall summary is as follows:
(1) Anti-rust: prevent rust caused by water leakage, condensation, rain, fingerprints, etc. in the injection mold;
(2) Anti-collision: to prevent the mold from being damaged due to the broken thimble and not retracting into place;
(3) Deburring: to prevent mold burrs caused by cloth wiping, material punching, hand wiping, nozzle pliers touching, and knife touching;
(4) Missing parts: prevent the mold from being damaged during use due to the lack of tie rods, washers and other parts;
(5) Anti-pressure: to prevent mold pressure injury caused by mold clamping due to still remaining products;

(6) Undervoltage: prevent the mold from being damaged due to excessive low pressure protection pressure.
